Touring the boneyard at the Yanks Air Museum in Chino, one never knows what they might encounter. Here is a trio of 1950’s service birds that have seen better days. The F-105 Thunderchief (Thud) first flew in 1955, the F-104 in 1956, and the T-38 in 1959. All three had long distinguished careers. Thuds retired in 1984 after 26 years, Starfighters lasted until 2004 (Italian Air Force) after 46 years. Of the three, only the T-38 is still in service marking its 57th year. Nikon D500 w/18-200mm.
