The Northrop N-9M was an approximate one-third scale, 60-ft wingspan aircraft used for the development of the 172-ft wingspan Northrop XB-35 and YB-35 flying wing long-range, heavy bomber programs. When Northrop’s Flying Wing bomber program was canceled, all remaining N-9M flight test aircraft, except for the final N-9MB, were scrapped. Planes of Fame Air Museum acquired the aircraft in 1981 and restoration was completed 13 years later with flight testing completed in 1996. Captured with Nikon D7000 and 70-200mm+1.4X converter.
