September 2 – 4 marks the return of North Coast Music Festival to Union Park in Chicago. If you’re not ready to settle down after this year’s Lollapalooza, keep the party going at North Coast.
North Coast Music Festival is a product of successful independent promoters in Chicago, including React Presents, Silver Wrapper, Cold Grums Productions, and Metronome, all coming together to throw one kick-ass music fest. The festival is known for its diverse crowd and music that brings all walks of life together. North Coast features genres such as electronic, hip-hop, indie rock, jam band, and more.

This year’s headliners include Odesza and Grouplove on Friday, Bassnectar and Logic on Saturday, and Zedd and Umphrey’s McGee to end the fest on Sunday. Other notable artists include The Revivalists, Keys N Krates, Big Wild, Matt & Kim, and Greensky Bluegrass to name a few.
Where It’s At
Union Park is located at 1501 West Randolph Street on the city’s Near West Side. Parking at the fest will be limited so consider walking, biking, getting dropped off, or utilizing public transportation. From the CTA, it is easiest to get off at the Ashland Green/Pink Line station, which will take you right to the park.
Entry Rules
Tickets are required. Single and 3-day passes are on sale, so get ‘em while they last! This is an all-ages event. All attendees will be searched upon entry. Those that are over 21 with a valid ID will receive a wristband to purchase alcoholic beverages at the fest. Gates will open at 3pm on Friday and 1pm on Saturday and Sunday. Keep in mind there will be no re-entry into the festival.
Where To Stay
The Hard Rock Hotel is located downtown off of the Green Line and has teamed up with North Coast to offer discounted rates if booking before Friday, August 12, 2016. The Crowne Plaza, located at 733 West Madison Street, is another hotel option that is walking distance from the festival grounds.
