Utah-based Barry Hancock gains altitude after a low flyby at the Truckee Tahoe Airshow. First flown in 1935, more than 15,000 of these iconic warbirds were produced and served in air forces around the world as late as 1995. The T-6G was a rebuild of 2,068 early model AT-6/T-6s (1949-1953) with improved cockpit layout, increased fuel capacity, steerable tailwheel, updated radios and a 600hp engine.
