August 2017

Got to see the Condor Squadron for the first time while attending the Wings Over Camarillo airshow. The Condor Squadron is a Southern California flight team founded in 1965 by WWII fighter pilots that proudly fly their Texans in formation flights over parades, memorial services and veterans events.  The T-6 in German markings was destroyed in a post crash fire in October 2018 after the pilot crash landed on a Los Angele freeway.  First flown in 1935, this iconic aircraft served in air forces around the world and finally retired from active duty in 1995 from the South African Air Force.  Nikon D500 w/Tamron 150-600mm.
