A Wright R-1820 powerplant of T-28 Trojan on static display at the Pacific Coast Dream Machines Show. The R-1820 powered many famous aircraft including the Boeing B-17 Flying Fortress and Douglas SBD Dauntless. The Trojan is a 1950’s era training aircraft that was used by the Air Force and Navy, along with armed forces around the world, and eventually replaced by the T-34C Mentor. The T-28 saw combat roles in Vietnam and Laos after being modified to carry weapons and ordnance. More than 1,900 were produced between 1950-1957.  Nikon D300 w/35-70mm.
