P-51 Mustang “Lady Go” seen at rest during the 2016 Wings Over Wine Country airshow.  This warbird was recovered from Indonesia in 1978 and rebuilt as a TF-51 trainer. This Mustang also has an extensive air race history, competing at Reno from 1991-2023. More than 8100 of the D-model were produced, contributing to the total of 15,000 Mustangs built for the war. After World War II, the P-51 Mustang served in the air forces of over 55 countries.
