One of several P-51’s on hand at the 2009 Pacific Coast Dream Machines show was this beautiful Mustang known as “StrawBoss 2/Little Sandra”. This Mustang is known as “StrawBoss 2”, but the starboard crew chief side carries the name “Little Sandra”. The original StrawBoss had had 2 air victories and 4 ground kills during the war. More than 8100 of the D-model were produced, contributing to the total of 15,000 Mustangs built for the war. After World War II, the P-51 Mustang served in the air forces of over 55 countries.
