This Mustang taxies in after a flight performance at the inaugural Pikes Peak Regional Airshow. The CAF Red Tail Squadron restored and flies this rare P-51C to create interest in the story of the Tuskegee Airmen. The first Merlin-powered Mustangs were designated P-51B/C, the only difference being the B’s were built in Long Beach, California, and the C’s in Dallas, Texas.
