Norn launches in Edinburgh this May

Chef Scott Smith, a protégé of Michelin-starred Geoffrey Smeddle, owner of The Peat Inn, is taking over the site of The Plumed Horse on Henderson Street with a new restaurant venture – Norn.

Opening in early May, the 36 cover restaurant reflects Scotland’s rich food landscape and heritage.  The name Norn comes from the language spoken in Shetland and Orkney.

The restaurant will offer a changing seasonal fixed set menu of either four or seven courses with the restaurant’s wine list curated by sommelier Sandro Colavolpe

Opening hours for lunch will be Thursday to Saturday with dinner Tuesday to Saturday.

Three course lunch menu (choice of two dishes per course): £20

Four courses: £40 (plus £35 for matching wines)

Seven courses: £65 (plus £60 for matching wines)
