No Seiyuu No Life: Yuto Nakano

Posted on the 25 February 2015 by Kaminomi @OrganizationASG

I can’t believe I am flying to Japan in one month. You probably don’t realize it either. The good thing is that it’s rather easy to get an access to the Internet in Japan. Otherwise I’m sure you’d miss me.

Instead of talking about the preparations I need to make and don’t make for my trip, I will start talking about Yuto Nakano.

No Seiyuu No Life: Yuto Nakano
Known for: Ginko (Mushishi)

My favorite role: Ginko (Mushishi)

I always seem to fall in love with people with close to no roles and no notoriety. And, very often, I find that incredibly sad.

Sadly, this is the case with Yuto Nakano. I might be cursed or something.

Basically, Yuto Nakano had 3 important roles: Dune in Casshern Sins, Leviathan in Katekyo Hitman Reborn and, obviously, Ginko in Mushishi.

The day I noticed that Ginko was also Levi from Reborn!, I almost had a heart attack.

You should try to understand me, you see, I had seen Casshern Sins like 8 years ago. It was one of the first anime I saw and I didn’t really notice the seiyuu. Then I watched Reborn! and my impression of all the seiyuu was very positive. I even discovered that Yuto Nakano was actually a very good performer, very good at singing and at impersonating characters (which should go without saying because he’s an actor first, which also means he actually gets jobs and this makes me happy.).

Last but not least, I heard him as Ginko in Mushishi and that’s when I was blown away. If you’d heard him as Levi before, you’d understand me.

Basically, Nakano‘s Ginko is simply perfect. He sounds so peaceful and so mature and it fits the character and the atmosphere of the whole anime so perfectly. I think Yuto Nakano plays a major part in what makes Mushishi great.

He’s skilled. He needs more roles in anime.

Now it’s your turn!
