No pathogenic microorganisms in imported organic fertilizers: Agriculture Ministry No pathogenic microorganisms have been detected in imported organic fertilizers, Agriculture Ministry confirmed.

The Ministry of Agriculture states that the news published on social media and in some national media that the organic nitrogen fertilizers imported by the government contain pathogenic microorganisms that are harmful to animals, plants and humans is completely untrue.

Relevant organic fertilizers are imported only from companies certified for the production of international organic fertilizers. The relevant International Organic Fertilizer Production Certificate should be obtained for each type of fertilizer.

Fertilizer is imported into the country from ISO 17065 certified companies to validate this fertilizer production methodology. The Ministry of Agriculture also emphasizes that only organic fertilizers that are free from pathogenic microorganisms harmful to animals, plants, and humans are certified by a state-of-the-art laboratory to analyze each of the ISO 17025 internationally certified parameters.

Therefore, the Ministry of Agriculture urges farmers not to be panic about using imported organic fertilizers.
