Story: No Man’s Land starts as Bill Greer (Grillo), his boys Jackson (Allyn) and Lucas (MacNicoll) patrolling the Mexican border. When Gustavo (Jimenez) and his family are looking to cross the border. They have an altercation, leaving a young boy dead and Jackson fleeing on horseback to Mexico.
Once Jackson is in Mexico, he is offered a new chance by a ranching family. Finding his past catching up to him as the family of the boy start hunting him down.
Thoughts on No Man’s Land
No Man’s Land is a thriller following a young man looking for redemption for an accidental shooting. He feels guilty for and is willing to take the punishment for, only to find himself on the other side of the border. trying to find himself, as both sides are caught in the middle of the incident.
This is an interesting look at following the young man find his way in a country he doesn’t know how to navigate. Doing what he can to survive, while needing to escape from people that want to kill him.
The performances in the film solid with the leading role from Jake Allyn showing the pain his character is going through after his actions. The clash of culture does show here, showing how people can be raised to only see one thing, instead of learning of the bigger picture.
