Do not be outdone Sony PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Xbox Series X, the fast food chain KFC (formerly known as Kentucky Fried Chicken) has launched its own game console to joke.

KFC posted a video showing their new KFConsole on social media on June 12, a day after PlayStation 5 reveals with a controversial new design.
The KFConsole looks like a real game console with a power button, disc player and red lights. The video also claims that KFConsole has cross-platform compatibility.
However, one detail reveals the joke - the KFConsole has also incorporated a glowing barbecue grill called the "chicken room" for when players want to cook chicken.
The KFConsole video has a release date of November 12, so hopefully KFC has planned a follow-up joke. Do not plan to buy this high-tech game console that doubles as a barbecue. KFC did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
While the console is a smart joke, KFC does indeed have an interest in games. His KFC Gaming Twitter account has more than 123.6K followers and the KFC Gaming Instagram account has 66.6K followers.
Previously in 2019, KFC released a real game called I love you Colonel Sanders Dating Simulator Game, previously launched on Steam; and KFC is currently encouraging players to create and share KFC builds in Minecraft.
KFC is also not afraid to do unusual marketing stunts, including real KFC Fried Chicken Computer Keyboard complete with a chicken drumstick mouse KFC Fried Chicken Sunscreen, KFC nail polish that tastes like fried chicken, and KFC Crocs Shoes this year.
So when it comes to KFC products, it's sometimes hard to tell what's real and what's a fun joke. As expected, players turned to social media wondering if the KFConsole was real or a hoax.
A curious player tweeted: "Exclusive titles?"
KFC responded with the comment, "You know it," with a picture of the dating simulation game I Love You Colonel Sanders from KFC.
Another player tweeted, "Dayummmm, how much storage space? I guess 2ChickenBytes."
KFC responded jokingly with the tweet, "2 Terabites."
Even Xbox replied to KFC's tweet with the question, "Can you put it aside?" as a reference to recent memes on the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X console designs.
