The price of 12.5 Kg domestic LP Gas cylinders will not be increased until the Cabinet consent is received, a spokesperson from the Litro Company told the Daily news yesterday.
According to him, the company has already made a request to the Government to increase the price of 12.5 Kg gas cylinder. It was reported yesterday that the Litro would increase the price of a 12.5 Kg domestic gas cylinder up to Rs.5,175 with effect from midnight yesterday.
However, the company refuted it claiming that such a decision has not been taken yet. The spokesperson was also uncertain if the request for price hike would be taken for discussion at the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
