Here’s ZEOD RC, Nissan’s new contribution to both electric cars and racing. The company flaunted the design at Circuit de la Sarthe a couple of days ago.

ZEOD RC race car may hit speeds of up to 300km/h (185mph) and will show off at Le Mans in 2014. Nissan’s Nismo racing division (creator of the all-electric Nismo RC) plans to enter it in the Garage 56 class of the famed race, reserved for vehicles that showcase breakthrough technology.

The vehicle could end up being not a pure electric car but a hybrid model that switches between gas and EV modes by the time it hits Le Mans

We’ll see if this curvy beauty can top Toyota’s P001, the current EV lap-speed champ.
