One of the crucial maintenance that you must not neglect for your Nissan Navara D40 is the change oil. Step 1. Warm up the engine, drive the Navara on level ground and check for the oil leakage from engine components. When checking for the engine oil leakage, do the inspection around each parts such as oil pan, oil pan drain plug, oil pressure switch, oil filter, oil cooler, intake valve timing control cover and intake valve timing control solenoid valve, front cover, mating surface between cylinder block and lower cylinder block, Mating surface between cylinder block and head, mating surface between cylinder head and rocker cover and crankshaft oil seals (front and rear).
Step 2. After the engine is warmed up, stop the engine and wait for 10 minutes before doing the change oil.

How to Change the Oil Filter for D40 Navara

Step 7. Stop the engine and wait for 10 minutes then check the engine oil level.
