Nike Presents France’s New Away Kit

By Simplyfutb01 @simplyjuan11

Probably one of the more snazzy kits has to go to Nike when they presented their latest France away strip.  The US-based outfitter has presented probably one of the best that there is and it will surely turn some heads this upcoming season.

The white kit was a departure from last year’s Karl Lagerfeld mariner look that had polarizing opinions.

The new away shirt has a classic white body with seven thin, obsidian blue stripes on the cuff of each sleeve to represent the iconic French design of the Marinière. The shirt’s constructed collar also echoes French style with a long placket and a bonded tape around the edge of the collars.

In line with Nike’s commitment to superior athletic performance and lower environmental impact, the fabric of the new kit’s shorts is made with 100% recycled polyester, while the fabric of the shirts is made with at least 96% recycled

polyester.  Each kit is made using an average of 13 recycled plastic bottles.

The fabric is also up to 23% lighter than the version four years ago. Embedded with Nike Dri-FIT technology, the kits help to regulate players temperatures on the pitch by removing sweat from the body to keep them dry and cool faster than ever before.

Laser-cut ventilation on the shirt promotes localized cooling where athletes need it most to remain focused on the game.

A new double knit structure and yarns also makes this kit 20% stronger, with no compromise to fit and feel with natural cotton added for comfort.

Inside the back of the neck, a thin red tape represents the red ribbons worn by the French after the revolution of 1789 celebrating their freedom and their solidarity with the victims of the guillotine.

Below the tape is the message “Nos differences nous unissent” (“Our differences unite us”), which celebrates France’s diverse population.

The away shorts are white with a tonal print of the Marinière in a panel on each side. The away socks, now with improved cushioning for greater comfort, movement and protection, are also white.

France’s kit is one of the first that was released alongside the away strips for Holland as well as  Korea.
