Mullally plays Emma, who shows up unannounced at her ex-husband Ulysses's (Offerman, Mullally's real-life husband) cluttered trailer (brilliantly designed by Thomas A. Walsh). The two haven't seen each other since Emma walked out on him 20 years earlier, with their 5-year-old son in tow. To say more would be to reveal the twists in the play. There has to be a lot of exposition since the audience doesn't know the couple's history, but the two are believable enough to overcome the less credible dialog in the script.Magazine

Nick Offerman and Megan Mullally's sitcom training comes in handy in Sharr White's Annapurna. Though the topics in the play are serious in nature (it deals with alcoholism and domestic abuse, for starters), there are plenty of laughs and at times it does feel like we could be watching a new sitcom pilot.
