MainCard is happy to announce the debut of its mainnet. The Web3 sports prediction game based on polygons and driven by NFT became live on November 19, a day before the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.
Multiple new gameplay dynamics are introduced by MainCard Web3, rethinking the gaming arena. Since mid-September, the project has operated many testnets that have been viewed by over 14,000 users from 125 countries in order to guarantee that the application is ready for release. Early project contributors have already received MainCard NFTs, which are required to play the game, in exchange for their assistance during development.
MainCard allows users to earn cryptocurrencies for accurately predicting the outcomes of sporting events. To play the game, a MainCard NFT is required.
Battle and Call are the two game modes available. In Battle Mode, players utilize their maincard NFTs to vote on the outcomes of sporting events. Menacoins, the game’s sole currency for the time being, are awarded for accurate guesses. Several exchanges plan to list MainCoins in the first quarter of 2023.
The amount of MainCoin awarded for accurate predictions is proportional to the rarity of the MainCard NFT used to cast a vote. There are also weekly crypto rewards for the top three players who earn the most MainCoins. First place is awarded 3,000 MATIC, second place is awarded 2,000 MATIC, and third place is awarded 1,000 MATIC.
The existence of Maincard NFT is affected by incorrect predictions. This may lower the amount of MainCoin earned for making the correct call, however users can restore their NFTs to full functionality by repairing them.
In Call mode, participants confront one another. In this mode, if you guess incorrectly and your opponent guesses correctly, they take your maincard NFT.
The opportunity to mix maincards to produce more potent NFTs increases the game’s versatility. Correct predictions consecutively improve the card’s winning streak. When the streak hits a specific threshold, players can combine two identical maincards to produce a new, higher-level card. Alternately, players can purchase more potent maincards through the application’s internal market.
Currently, the maincard only supports a few sports, like soccer, basketball, and League of Legends. However, the initiative intends to add new games weekly.
