NFT Investors Rush to Purchase Domains on ENS Since Last Week

Ethereum Name Service(ENS).eth domains varying from 0000 to 9999 lately excited a lot of attention from NFT investors, enthusiasts, and entrepreneurs. Domains with three and four digit names are around for years, however, there has only recently been secondary markets on the secondary markets for the purchase of these domains.

As reported by a Dune Analytics dashboard for ENS, the increase in domain sales began on April 21, and the number of .eth registrations increased from 2,721 to 21,188 the next week.

OpenSea trading volume for the ENS domains rose 3.333% to 2,613 ETH, reaching about $7.3 million at current prices. Most trading activity in the secondary market happened in the last 3 days. The most expensive domain to date is 555.eth, that sold for 55.5 ETH, about $156,821.91, on April 28.

Owners who have bought ENS names from 0 to 9999 have created a specific Discord channel called the 10kClub. About 4,000 ENS holders joined the social club at the time of writing. Social channel member’s also posted the “I’m my numbers and my numbers are me” motif, that is constantly posted in the Discord chat.

As stated by their Twitter page, there is no roadmap for the 10kClub.

Individual users are not the only ones who have lately registered names in with Ethereum Name Service. Big brands and companies like Budweiser and Puma registered their domain names as well.
