NFS Unbound is making waves this week with the arcade racing game bringing out drift and drag modes thanks to its latest update. Check out the patch notes of this update which includes the two new game modes, two brand new fully customizable cars, and more!

NFS Unbound’s Latest Patch

Need For Speed is amping up the ultimate NFS experience introducing the drift and drag modes to the title with their 7th title update. This volume brings back League progression and Drift and Drag modes, all adapted for the present age. The fully customizable Ford Mustang Dark Horse ’24 and BMW M3 Competition Touring ’23 are also new additions to the game.

While Drag mode brings back manual gear changing and lane switching abilities, New Drift mode offers better handling for Drift builds. Players compete head-to-head to earn their vehicles in The League, a redesigned advancement system designed to improve the Free Roam single-player experience. Rival Racers are faced with players throughout the volume.

As usual, there are 75 total tiers of attainable customization content available with a new Speed Pass and optional Premium track.

Drift And Drag Modes

Experience street racing to the fullest with Vol. 7’s Drift Mode. Designed with curves and throttle in mind, this mode brings drifting back to its roots with a redesigned handling model for drift builds, offering unmatched control and a greater degree of drift expertise. Additionally, drift playlists have been added to free roam and PVP.

When you need a vacation from the circuits, this mode refreshes the concept of racing in NFS Unbound. This is a thorough exploration of the fundamentals of street racing, where the excitement is derived from carefully calibrated nitrous boosts, manual gear shifts, and lane changes to avoid obstructions. Up to four players can take on this challenge, which rewards not just the fastest car but also the most adept driver. Additionally, drag playlists have been added to free roam and PVP.

League

The League brings back the competitive nature of NFS Underground in NFS Unbound while providing a more immersive gree roam experience for solitary players. Throughout the volume, compete against new Rival Racers in head-to-head matches to earn their exclusive bikes. This feature also adds a community challenge, wherein players must work together to unlock the last boss and obtain a new custom. This is the area where strategy, skill, and community come together, pushing players to earn their spot among the legends of street racing. Rivals appear frequently, and new leagues are always being formed.

New Cars

In Vol. 7, two superstars of drag and drift, the Ford Mustang Dark Horse ’24 with its unfiltered, raw power and the BMW M3 Competition Touring ’23 with its agility, make their spectacular entry. These vehicles are extensively configurable and include many unlockable body kit variations, making them suitable for both drag and drift builds. For these vehicles, NFS Underground-inspired designs are featured in two sets of Rare Customs, along with a unique Speedhunters partnership.

NFS Legends

This volume contains new NFS Legends material, including PVP playlists with an Underground theme that uses Eddie’s Skyline and Rachel’s 350Z. The Premium Speed Pass will also allow you to unlock Melissa’s Eclipse.
