NFL Rivals Game introduces Hurts, Mahomes to NFT lineup Ahead of Super Bowl

Mythical Games, a Web3 game studio, is capitalizing on the Philadelphia Eagles-Kansas City Chiefs rivalry by releasing 22 new NFTs of football players from both teams in time for the championship game.

Mythical Games, a Web3 game studio, is adding new non-fungible token (NFT) player packs to its NFL Rivals game ahead of Sunday’s Super Bowl LVII, despite the fact that there will be no crypto-related advertisements at the game this year.

On Sunday, there will be 22 National Football League players from the two teams competing in the greatest football game of the year. Famous player cards, ranging from Patrick Mahomes of the Kansas City Chiefs to Jalen Hurts of the Philadelphia Eagles, will be available in the esports game when it launches on mobile later this year.

According to Billy Schautz, executive producer of NFL Rivals, Web3 technologies provide football fans with a unique method to connect with their favorite players in the game.

“The Rivals team is delighted to give fans the opportunity to get Super Bowl LVII Rivals player cards, which they can use to build their team rosters and play the game with,” Schautz said.
However, cryptocurrency and the Super Bowl may not be getting along right now. Last year’s event may have been dubbed the “Crypto Bowl” because of all the cryptocurrency advertisements that were broadcast. Fox Sports announced on Tuesday that it will not run cryptocurrency advertisements this year.

It’s not cheap to run a Super Bowl commercial, and the crypto industry has been hard affected by layoffs, bankruptcies, and chilly market conditions, especially after the FTX exchange, a major crypto advertiser, went out of business last year.

Mythical, on the other hand, aims to get people enthusiastic about its future game by handing away new player cards. The presale begins on Thursday for those who own the one-of-a-kind Rarity League collection. The public sale begins on Friday. The 1,000 Super Bowl players NFTs are sold in packs of three for $49 each.
