The prestigious World's 50 Best Restaurants announced this year's winner with Mirazur, in Menton in the South of France grabbing the top spot.
The French restaurant beat Noma into second place. Noma was widely expected to top the rankings having opened at its new location in Copenhagen.
A new change to the rules means that previous incumbents of the top spot were excluded from the list this year. However Noma was considered a new entry.
