Michelin lose another restaurant

Sought after by chefs across the world, but this last week has seen two restaurants ask to be removed from Michelin Guide.

Boath House, near Nairn, has joined French Chef Sebastien Bras, whose restaurant Le Suquet has three Michelin Stars. He asked not to be included in the 2018 guide.

The family run business has moved from a Michelin experience to one which is more relaxed and profitable! It seems that the restaurant consistently made a loss and a new direction was needed. The new menu and focus will be on Scottish food served in an informal way. The stresses and cost of maintaining a star seems at odds with what visitors are wanting.

The 2018 Michelin Guide will be released on Monday.
