Cùl Cùil introduces a cool new menu for summer

Glasgow Bar Cùl Cùil have launched a brand new menu after a wee refit and Mr Foodie went along to the launch night to have a look around and taste a new dish or two.

The menu has a wide selection on offer to keep even the pickiest of tastebuds happy. There are grilled items, wraps, sharing platters, salads and daily specials. Starters include Halloumi fries (£5), which wasn't new to the menu but who can really resist these? Not Mr Foodie anyway...

Big chunky well-cooked squeaky cheese fingers these were, with a wonderful piquant harissa mayo for dipping. Would come back for these again, and again!

The main course sampled was new to the menu - the fish finger wrap (£9.95)! A guilty pleasure for many at home, now available here in a toasted wrap! Being big fans of Japanese cuisine we lapped up the crisp panko-coated haddock and the gherkin-filled tartare sauce got the thumbs up too! Mr Foodie isn't much of a skinny fries fan so it would be good to have the option to switch to sweet potato fries.

Other new items include baked camembert, chargrilled ribeye steak, seafood linguine, chicken burger and a vegan burger. There is even a separate vegan, vegetarian and children's menu. And in addition to the new food menus, the glasshouse area has been extended across the whole mezzanine space, which is handy for those glorious Glasgow "summers" (there's now windows to keep the rain at bay on wet days)!

There's still plenty of space oot back for those rare sunny days in the courtyard, one of Glasgow's best kept secrets (but for how long?)
