The Botany Bar & Restaurant welcomes new Chef & new menu
The Botany Bar & Restaurant on Maryhill Road in Glasgow's West End, has recently welcomed a brand new Head Chef and have now launched a new menu.
Chef Jim Kerr (no not that Jim Kerr!) comes to The Botany from The Western Club restaurant in Glasgow's City Centre via Rogano and Nairns to One Devonshire Gardens.
Chef Jim has revamped the menu. Starters include salad of sweet pickled herring with Jersey Royals and apple, an aubergine and red pepper terrine and smooth chicken liver parfait with heather honey marmalade and toasted brioche or how about a hot and sour soup?
For mains, dishes include risotto primavera with asparagus, broad beans and peas, a grilled lemon sole, salmon teriyaki or chana dal with roasted turmeric cauliflower, fragrant rice and gluten free naan.
The dessert menu includes iced chewy chocolate cake with caramel mascarpone.
