Last night we went along to The Bonham Hotel to have a look at its refurbishment and to see the suites as well as the new bar and new restaurant - and has been refurbished from head-to-toe, courtesy of a multi-million-pound investment - No. 35 at The Bonham.
Embracing the heritage of the building but with some modern touches as well. It's a fine balancing line and we think that The Bonham Hotel does this well. Wood panelling and stained glass windows as well as stunning hand-painted ceilings.
The colours used not only reflect the history of the hotel but leading designer Nigel Howard Creative references Scotland's landscapes with the soft highland hues used. Combine this with rich materials such as oak, brass, leather and velvet and you have a luxurious looking hotel.
Douglas Campbell, general manager at The Bonham Hotel, said: "This multi-million-pound refurbishment has seen our already stunning hotel transformed into a truly sophisticated property combining modern styling with our original Georgian architecture.

We couldn't decide on which view was the best, out to Drumsheugh Gardens or over Dean Village, both excellent views of Edinburgh. We'll be back to check out the new restaurant soon!
