Posted on the 14 May 2022 by Geetikamalik

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was tested positively for Covid-19 with moderate symptoms, his office said in a statement on Saturday.

He will not be in parliament for a plan to reduce government emissions on Monday and the upcoming budget on Thursday.

Travel arrangements for their trade missions to the United States are not affected at this stage,” the statement added.

Ardern has been symptomatic since Friday night, returning positive positive at night and clear positive on Saturday morning with a fast antigen test (mouse), the statement said.

At this stage, the symptoms are moderate and he has been isolation since May 8 when his colleague Clarke Gayford was tested positive, he said.

Because the mice are positive, Ardern will be asked to be isolated until the morning of May 21, and do what tasks he can do from a long distance this week.

Deputy Prime Minister Grant Robertson will speak to the media in his place on Monday.

This is a milestone week for the government and I broke my heart I could not be there for that,” Ardern said in the statement.

The plan to reduce our emissions set the way to achieve our zero carbon goals and the budget discusses the long -term future and security of the New Zealand health system.

But as I said at the beginning of the week that isolated with Covid-19 is a very kiwi experience this year and my family is no different.”
