Dear New York..
Arriving yesterday filled me with excitement and felt a bit like coming home at the same time.
My trip to you couldn’t have been timed better. Just when I needed a temporary way out. Some me-time. Finding peace and inner calm.
The chaos of New York might not seem as a good place to do that, but it is. There’s so much more to the world than the little bubble us people seem to get stuck in sometimes. New york is both a distraction, a place to take my mind off things that have been occupying my thoughts for way too long, as well as it is a city where I can feel like myself again. In a sunny 25 degrees, which isn’t bad either. I’m looking forward to this week. A week with my dad, but also with myself, and in a city that is my favorite in the world..
