New Year’s Resolutions for Healthy Travelers1 min read

This year, it's going to be different. In 2020, we're all going to work hard, quit those bad habits and be better people in general. And for those of us who travel, this is the time when we resolve to keep our cool in the security line, behave ourselves on the airplane and eat more healthily when we're away from home.

Some of the foremost health and travel writers have some suggested resolutions for each of us as the New Year gets underway.

Emma Sparks, from Lonely Planet, suggests nine travel resolutions and even tells us how to stick to them. Resolutions like packing lighter, taking better pictures and getting out of your comfort zone feel like a joy to keep, so why not try some of them out?

Parade's Jessica Sager gives us ten trending destinations to visit in 2020. If you're looking for an adventure sans crowds of tourists, check out some of her suggested underrated gems like Pakistan, Myanmar or the Faroe Islands.

CNN's Lisa Drayer focuses on things you can do to eat healthier in the new year. No crazy diets are needed here; Drayer suggests tackling one small resolution each month. Start with something as simple as eating more plants in January and see where it takes you.

Good advice for all of us.
