1. Workout 4-5 times every, single, week. I love walking, and pretty much walk 3 times a day in the Spring, Summer, and Fall. I walk my German Shepherd to the beach, to Lincoln Park, pretty much every direction of the city possible. However, this Winter...our walks consist of running right outside our building to the Erie dog park for her to go to the bathroom as quickly as possible. Starting this year I want to do the elliptical and/or tredmill 4-5 times a week on top of the walks (in the seasons that allow me to do so). My goal is to do 45-60 minutes. That way, any walking I do is just an added bonus to my fitness routine.
2. Start using mostly organic products: Yes, Kourtney Kardashian is rubbing off on me. I already bought organic laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner, face wash, etc. I figured the more chemicals I eliminate from my daily routine and apartment, the better. I've also started buying organic milk, fruit, snacks, etc. Slowly but surely I'd like to be eating all organic foods, and using all organic products.
3. Get more sleep: Ever since I was a little girl, I've always been a huge night owl. I watch all my TV shows late at night, catch up on emails, and shop on the internet. I want to try to start going to bed an hour or two earlier than I normally do. I'm hoping this will make me feel more rested and refreshed throughout the day.
4. Change my diet: Although I love healthy foods and always eat a ton of fruits, veggies, salads, greens, etc. I am notorious for eating an insane amount of junk food. This year I want to replace snacking on chips, cookies, donuts, etc. with carrots and dip, berries, nuts, etc. I will still give into cravings when I have them, but I want to make sure it is no longer an every day thing.
5. Be a little less judgmental: As my friends and family know, when someone does something that I don't think is right, in one way or another...I let them know it. This year I want to start trying to look at things from other people's perspective and try to understand their actions rather than jumping to conclusions right away. We'll see about this one though.... ;)
