Here’s a press release that went out today regarding my newest hire at BioPlus:
One of the nation’s leading specialty pharmacies, BioPlus, announces the hiring of Gina D’Aiello as Regional Clinical Liaison for New Jersey and surrounding areas, to serve as a clinical consultant in hepatitis C and better support prescriber offices and patients.
Altamonte Springs, FL (PRWEB) March 04, 2014
BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy (BioPlus), one of the nation’s leading specialty pharmacies, expands its team with a new position, Regional Clinical Liaison, and welcomes Gina D’Aiello, P.A. in this role. With a background that includes being a Physician Assistant and working in a hepatitis C clinic, D’Aiello will serve as a clinical consultant for prescriber offices in New Jersey and other Northeast areas. A key part of D’Aiello’s role will be to help prescribers understand all the new hepatitis C treatments now available and support them in making the best decisions for their patients, but more than that, D’Aiello will be available to teach and train patients during the on-boarding process and provide the hands-on support that will keep patients on-board during the hepatitis C treatment process.
“We are delighted that Gina is joining the BioPlus team,” comments Bill Cook, Vice President of Sales at BioPlus, “she brings an invaluable clinical component as a former hepatitis C prescriber. Her knowledge and expertise will similarly be beneficial to the prescribers in New Jersey and Pennsylvania as she represents BioPlus and educates patients as needed.” In addition, D’Aiello will be available to answer questions about the BioPlus clinical pharmacy department and serve as a consultant.
D’Aiello holds a Physician Assistant Certification from Hahnemann University in Philadelphia and has practiced in this field for 14 years, providing patient-centered medical care and education to diverse populations in New York City. In addition, she developed and served patients at a hepatitis C clinic in Brooklyn, New York, where her motivational counseling techniques successfully managed adverse effects while resulting in higher cure rates than the national average for hepatitis C.
“I am excited to join the BioPlus family and look forward to contributing to the good work that is being done here to best support patients with complex diseases,” shares D’Aiello.
BioPlus is the first specialty pharmacy to introduce a two hour turnaround from referral to patient acceptance. The company philosophy embodied by the statement that “BioPlus… Where healing begins in 2 hours” will only gain strength from D’Aiello’s professional and compassionate work in the field supporting both prescribers and patients.
