New Obamacare Rule- Trust But Don't Bother To Verify

Former president Ronald Reagan adapted an old Russian proverb as his signature phrase, "Trust but verify," meaning that while information may be considered reliable, do the research and verify the information is indeed, truthful and accurate.
Barack Obama's administration, has just issued a 600-page final rule on Obamacare which turns Reagan's signature phrase right on it's head, trust and don't bother to verify.
Washington Post explains:
The Obama administration announced Friday that it would significantly scale back the health law’s requirements that new insurance marketplaces verify consumers’ income and health insurance status.
Instead, the federal government will rely more heavily on consumers’ self-reported information until 2015, when it plans to have stronger verification systems in place.
The delay comes after a Tuesday announcement that the federal government would postpone for one year a requirement that employers with 50 or more full-time workers provide health coverage.

This new rule is being referred to as "Obamacare's Invitation to Fraud. "
An invitation to the woman in the video below.

So, first, the Obama administration delays implementation of the employer mandate until after the 2014 midterms to protect vulnerable Democrats when employers cut their workforce and their workers' hours to avoid having to pay health insurance for all employees working over 30 hours, the new Obamacare definition of full time, to prevent their businesses from going belly up.
Because that delay leaves the government and states with no way to verify the status and whether employers offered health insurance those workers, the Obama administration is simply waiving the verification process.
This means anyone can simply lie about their income and their status and have taxpayers fund their health insurance, whether they qualify or not.
It isn't like there is already rampant fraud already being perpetuated within government programs, right?
Oh wait............................

Electric Benefit Transfers (EBT), used in all states to issue food stamp benefits to recipients, are being made at amusement parks, strip clubs, liquor stores, sex novelty shops, pawn shops,  etc....
But, but, but, it doesn't happen often right?
Sigh... wait again.............

Federal studies suggest that 2% of welfare benefits are obtained fraudulently, would could also suggest that $9.7 million were lost to fraud in New York just in December, before a single item food stuff was purchased.
"People are outraged when there's misuse of the welfare system," said Chautauqua County Sheriff Joseph Gerace. (Source- February 2013)
How did they lower those numbers?
Oh yeah... verification.
In Chautauqua County, the number of arrests for welfare fraud have actually fallen in the last year, and according to Gerace part of that is because his county, like others, has taken measures to try to ensure only those entitled to benefits are receiving them in the first place.
"There has been more attention paid by our department of Social Services to what's called front end detection," Gerace told WGRZ-TV.
The examples are endless, but the point is taxpayers' money is being wasted on people who abuse the system and now Barack Obama has opened the door and basically told the country that if they lie to obtain this latest "entitlement" no one is going to verify the information.
