WhatsApp Privacy Checkup Screen

WABetainfo, a website keeping an eye on the upcoming feature of this instant messaging app owned by Meta, has informed about this new feature. According to a recent report, some users will see a new Privacy Checkup screen after installing the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.9.15 update from the Google Play Store.

With this new feature, users can quickly review their privacy settings. They will always have control over who can see their information. If you would like to review your privacy settings using the Privacy Checkup screen, you will need to open your privacy settings to check this. From here you will be able to check whether this facility is available for your account or not.

How will it work?

If the feature is enabled for your account, you can see a new banner in your privacy settings and you’ll be able to choose the settings that are right for you and start the checkup. In this section you can decide and select who can add you to the group and you will be able to manage your block contacts.

You can control your personal information by selecting the audience for your WhatsApp profile photo, last seen and online, and more. Plus, you can add more privacy to your chats and groups by setting up disappearing messages and enabling end-to-end encrypted backups.

The Privacy Checkup Screen is available to some beta testers who install the latest update for WhatsApp Beta for Android from the Play Store. It is being rolled out to more people in the coming days.
