The latest WhatsApp beta for the iOS 23.9.0.76 update on Testflight shows that the company is working on a feature that will make it easier to reach out to the community. Right now it is under development.
Earlier, with the WhatsApp beta for Android 2.23.9.17 update, a community navigation feature was rolled out for some beta users. WhatsApp is working on a new organization system to give its users a better way to navigate through groups within chat lists. After Android, now it is going to come for iOS users.
The option will be found at the top of the chat list
A screenshot has also been given in the report. It is clear from this that the company is working on a new toolbar. With future updates you will get a toolbar at the top of the chat list showing all the communities. With the help of this feature, while selecting a tab, all your groups will be listed within their respective communities.
Users will get more control over the community
With this feature of WhatsApp, a blue badge will appear on the community icon. It will tell that you have received a message from a group belonging to a community. This will make it easier for users to have more control over the messages received in the community. Also, note that this feature is limited to groups belonging to a community, so groups that don’t belong to a community won’t appear in the new toolbar.
WhatsApp community tabs is currently in the development phase. It will be rolled out to users in future with upcoming updates. This means that people will have to wait a little longer for this.
