Since I made several canvases in a new "slim" size of 8" x 48", I am trying out various compositions on them. In this new abstract painting, I painted the edges a deep red, moving to lighter colors toward the center of the canvas. I moved gradually from cadmium red dark through medium and light reds and orange, with platinum and white highlights in the center. Pale blue highlights and alizarin crimson "slashes" finished the piece.
