The mobile plan only

Netflix's Mobile-Only plan is probably the most user-friendly plan offered by the platform. You have to pay an amount of Rs 199 per month for a mobile-only Netflix subscription.

As the name suggests, you won't be able to watch your favorite Netflix shows on your desktop or smart TV. The plan is specially designed for millennials who spend most of their time on smartphones and have no problem watching Netflix on a small screen. You also cannot stream Netflix in HD or Ultra HD quality in this plan.

The Mobile Only plan can be called one of the best Netflix India plans because it is cost effective and suitable for solo binge-watch enthusiasts.

Netflix Basic Plan

The basic plan is available at Rs 499 per month. This Netflix subscription lets you watch movies and TV shows on a big screen, including desktops or a smart TV.

Besides the big screen benefit, the plan is similar to the Netflix plan for mobile devices as it also allows a single screen for the user. Additionally, the base plan also lacks HD and Ultra HD streaming.

Netflix standard plan

With this Netflix plan, you can watch content on two different screens simultaneously. The Standard plan is available for Rs 649 per month and offers Netflix streaming on a variety of smartphones, tablets, PCs and TVs.

The best part about the standard Netflix monthly subscription is that you watch the content in HD quality.

Netflix Premium Plan

The Netflix Premium plan allows you to stream the content available on the platform on four different streams simultaneously. The premium plan is available at Rs 799 per month. The premium plan is the best choice for families or friends who want to reduce their monthly expenses.

The best part about the premium plan is that it offers all the features mentioned in the other plans. On top of that, Netflix offers streaming Ultra HD content in this subscription which sets it apart from the rest.

To run Netflix 4K UHD titles, your device must meet these requirements.

So if you are planning to go for the premium plan for Ultra HD streaming, you should check the minimum requirements for it.

New Mobile + Netflix plan being tested

In addition to the options mentioned above, Netflix is also testing another low cost price point in India called Mobile +. The new plan will offer all Netflix SD and HD titles at just Rs 349 / month, and you can stream them to your smartphone, tablet or PC.

However, the streaming giant does not support the Mobile + subscription for TVs, which is a major difference from the Standard plan. We will provide more details once the Mobile + plan is formalized.
