Netflix has released the first trailer for “The Defenders” starring Charlie Cox’s Daredevil, Krysten Ritter’s Jessica Jones, Mike Colter’s Luke Cage and Finn Jones’ Iron Fist. Élodie Yung reprises her role as Elektra from Daredevil, trained by Sigourney Weaver’s Alexandra, an adversary to The Defenders.
There are plans to release a new Marvel superhero series about every six months (in addition to the dozen or so Marvel movies that are scheduled to be released over the next 5 years. The Defenders is the fifth Marvel series.
Marvel’s The Defenders will be on Netflix, August 18, according to Shadow and Act.
