Netanyahu's Motives

Palestinians in Gaza (I don't know which organization is responsible for the shooting, but Hamas is in charge overall) shot a rocket a short while ago into Israel, with it landing in Ashqelon (no injuries BH). Reports say that Israel retaliated with the Air Force attacking Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.
How long will it take until the mainstream media claims that Netanyahu ordered the IDF to retaliate immediately in order to distract people from the negative news cycle he is suffering from right now? Pretty much anything he does nowadays is attributed to ulterior motives to save his own neck...
