It’s always excites me to go on road trips and embark on new adventures. So when Nuffnang and Nescafe invited me to “Destination Discoveries”, I quickly RSVP-ed.
They didn’t actually say what we would be doing, but the invite was kind of a take away already. They left out the details of the places and only indicated the time, which made me all the more excited and curious of where they would take us!
But first thing’s first — breakfast! They prepared for us sumptuous buffet breakfast at Mom and Tina’s (oohh my sinful bacon!!! good bye diet HAHA).
Then off to the coaster to start our adventure! At this point, we still didn’t know where we would be heading. They only gave us various clues along the way and we needed to tweet the correct answers to win prizes. Eventually, it was revealed that we’ll go to Antipolo — specifically at Crescent Moon Cafe for our first stop!
This man-made pond greeted us at Crescent Moon Cafe. Such a lovely place!
Apparently, Crescent Moon Cafe is the first to integrate both dining and pottery-making experience into one! Here’s a tidbit.. they manufacture pots, bowls and plates for restaurants such as Sumo Sam, Yabu, etc. So next time you’ll dine there, take a moment to notice the intricate craftsmanship of their dinnerware!
We were given an actual demo of pottery making by the owner Ms. Lanelle Abueva-Fernando. She is the niece of the National Artist for Sculpture Napoleon Abueva. This whole thing may look easy but it’s NOT! But I hope I can try it some other time, cos sadly there wasn’t enough time for us to try pottery making while we were there.
Anyway, for our next stop it was the Pinto Art Museum. I honestly can’t remember the last time I was inside an art gallery! I can’t say I’m a big art fan, and I may not know all the painters but I do appreciate their work. I once attempted to be an artist but well, let’s just say God has better plans for me. (translation: my painting sucks, big time). LOLs. Anyway, I’ll upload more photos from the Pinto Art Museum on my Facebook Page cos there’s a lot and I didn’t want to cram them all here in this entry.
After touring the gallery, it was time for lunch! And to unveil something big!
Nescafe Cafe-In-A-Can’s newest brand ambassador and endorser is none other than host, writer and blogger Bianca Gonzales. For me, she perfectly fits the brand because we all know how hectic her schedule is and it makes you wonder how she keeps up with all her agendas (TV host, magazine editor, newspaper contributor, endorsement deals)! So now we know, it’s because of Nescafe In-A-Can! She admits she drinks this even back in her college days to keep her awake.
I find her very friendly and approachable. One of the tasks given to us was to guess and tweet who we will be meeting during lunch time… I correctly guessed it, and all this time Bianca Gonzales was following our hash tag #WeekendDiscoveries. She acknowledged my tweet and and said hi to me during the event!
She owns a blog herself… though she mentioned she doesn’t have time to update anymore and feels bad about it. And that she’s proud of us who can keep a blog and post regularly! She then asked us about other things and she shared stories as well.
Time for some group pic! We were around 20 bloggers invited for this event.
Winners club! HAHA L-R: Enzo, Ana, Krissy, Helga and me. Cos we were such bibbo and lucky kids… hehehe.
Me with my fave mocha drink and my new tumbler (prize from their guessing game). We were already inside the coaster and boy, this drink really quenched my thirst!!!
Guess what’s our last stop? To buy pasalubong of course! What’s a trip to Antipolo without getting their special delicacy which is Suman, right?
Buying a Nescafe Cafe-In-A-Can is as easy as it gets cos they’re available even in gas stations, convenience stores, grocery or supermarket. It’s the ideal companion for your road trips, travels and adventures, especially this long weekend and this summer! After all, you would need that extra kick to be fully awake and to enjoy the moment!
Me with the Nescafe mascot. :D *hindi naman masyado masilaw noh?*
We were given magnetic souvenirs of the photo collage we were tasked to tweet/post on instagram. I didn’t know they will turn it into like this… hehehe I should have taken better photos, lol.
Here are the three flavors of Nescafe Cafe-In-A-Can — Espresso Roast, Mocha, and Latte. The Mocha is my fave cos it has a hint of chocolate-y taste. And the Latte is a close second cos of its milky goodness. The Espresso Roast is not as bitter as you would expect. How about you? Which among the three is your favorite flavor?
I would like to end this post by saying thank you to Nuffnang and Nescafe for inviting me to your one of a kind and unique product launch. It was truly a fun weekend full of discoveries! Now tell me, when was the last time you discovered something for the first time? I hope you all are making the most out of your long weekend! I, on the other hand, have to finish my term paper for my graduate class due this Tuesday. Luckily, I have these Nescafe Cafe-In-A-Can drinks to keep me awake all night loooong!
