What is “Bored Jerky” by The Nelk Boys?
The Nelk Boys make Bored Jerky, which is a brand of beef jerky. This is the second product to use the logo that the company’s founders made for the Bored Ape Yacht Club. The YouTubers’ first product was a hard seltzer with banana flavor that was only available for a limited time. On the cans of the drink was Bored Ape #8928.
Last year, The Nelk Boys’ manager, John Shahidi, first talked about Bored Jerky during an interview with the company’s founders, Gordon Goner and Garga, on the Full Send Podcast. This morning, it was confirmed that the Bored Jerky brand is still in business. The founders thanked Elon Musk for the confirmation right away on Twitter. This tweet says, “We are a verified business. Thanks@elonmusk.” At the moment, there are three flavors of Bored Jerky. The Original, Spicy, and Peppered flavors are all based on different Bored Ape NFTs.
Shahidi asks the BAYC founders, “We have access to gas stations, convinces stores, grocery stores, what else can we do.” As he shows them a bag of Bored Jerky. “So, then we’re like what else do people buy at gas stations, it’s a beef jerky!” in the episode. Bored Jerky’s Twitter page has a list of stores that confirm large initial orders and the availability of the product. There are also rumors that a Teriyaki flavor is being made. Both the flavor and the Bored Ape NFT chosen for it would be shown at the same time. Collectors can sign up on the official website for Bored Jerky to get news about when it will be available.
