The National Child Protection Authority (NCPA) has begun an investigation to arrest a monk, who is said to have sexually abused a 13-year-old child who is being cared for at a child development cente in Kadawatha.
It is said that this child, who is being cared for has been subjected to serious sexual abuse since March 2018. This child development center is located at a temple premises.
It is stated that this crime was committed not by a monk from that temple but by a monk who had been visiting the temple from another temple.
The National Child Protection Authority stated that it received the complaint regarding this incident.
