Exam Pattern

Post-Wise Selection Schemes

  • For Deputy Director (Medical) & Junior Programmer: The detailed scheme of examination and syllabus will be notified separately on the official NBEMS website shortly.
  • For Junior Accountant, Stenographer, & Junior Assistant: The selection process will be strictly conducted in two stages. No interview will be held for these Group B and C posts.

Written Examination (Computer Based Test - CBT)

  • Mode of Exam: Online Computer-Based Test (CBT).
  • Total Questions: 200 Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs).
  • Maximum Marks: 200 Marks (Each question carries exactly 1 mark).
  • Time Duration: 3 Hours (180 Minutes total).
  • Medium of Exam: Bilingual (Both English and Hindi).
  • Negative Marking:0.25 marks will be deducted for every incorrect answer.

Section-Wise Marks Weightage Breakdown:

  • General Intelligence & Reasoning: 50 Questions (50 Marks)
  • General Awareness: 50 Questions (50 Marks)
  • Quantitative Aptitude: 50 Questions (50 Marks)
  • English Comprehension: 50 Questions (50 Marks)
  • Total: 200 Questions / 200 Marks

Computer Knowledge / Skill Test

  • Total Marks: 100 Marks.
  • Time Duration: 75 Minutes.
  • Shortlisting Ratio: Based on the Stage-I CBT merit list, 5 candidates against every 1 vacancy in each category will be called to appear for the Stage-II skill test.
  • Test Components: Depending on the specific requirements of the post, this stage will assess Data Entry, Word Processing, Computer Operation, or Stenography
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks:40% for SC / ST / PwBD / Ex-SM candidates, and 50% for other candidates to remain eligible for the final merit listing.

Final Merit List Criteria

  • The final selection merit ranking will be calculated based on the aggregate total marks obtained by candidates in both Stage-I (CBT) and Stage-II (Skill Test) combined.
  • If two or more candidates secure identical tie-breaking marks, the candidate higher in age will be placed higher on the merit rank.

  • Major Cities: Delhi and other selected centers across India
  • Center Allocation: Based on application preference and availability
