NBC has ordered a 2nd season of their new hit comedy “Marlon”
“Marlon” starring Marlon Wayans, and Essence Atkins premiere season was a success, with each week having a rating’s high.

The family comedy centers on Marlon Wayne (Marlon), who is an unconventional, but most of all loving father. While sometimes acting like a big kid, Marlon is committed to raising his two kids with his ex wife.
While the comedy keeps you laughing, the show really does have a serious undertone.
Family really always does come first!
In a recent interview, Marlon, shared how an episode of the show was inspired by his son, Shawn Howell Wayans.
“My son was in the hospital and all I could think was, ‘What’s funny about this?’” Wayans said. The comedian shared his wife and daughter started crying, “Angie’s crying, Amai is crying, and then my son starts getting nervous because they’re nervous.”
“My life…I’m an open book. As flawed as I may be I know that I have a great heart.”
