The Navy seized around 2,030 liters of petrol, transported illegally along with three suspects in two vehicles, during a special operation carried out in Sengumalawatta area in Kalpitiya on August 20.
The arrested suspects were residents of Kalpitiya, Wariyapola and Ratnapura.The market value of the stock of seized petrol is over Rs.900,000.
The suspects along with petrol and the vehicles used were handed over to the Kalpitiya Police.
