National Technology Day 2023: Today 25th Technology Day is being celebrated and technology plays an important role in the development of any country. Know the story behind celebrating National Technology Day on 11th May. Earlier in 1974, Pokhran-1’s nuclear test was done, which is known as Smiling Buddha. Talking about Pokhran-2, the Indian Army had carried out five nuclear explosions in the test range. The code name of this nuclear test was Shakti-I Nuclear. It was only after the success of the nuclear test that the then Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee declared May 11 as National Technology Day.
