Through a new NFT collection developed in collaboration with SnowcrashNFT, National Geographic will bring its storytelling to the Web3 platform.
National Geographic released its new NFT collection, “GM: Daybreak around the world,” today. The project comprises 1888 NFTs, a reference to the publication’s foundation year, and will be released on the Polygon blockchain on the morning of January 17th.
Overall, the collection brought together sixteen National Geographic photographers and digital artists to show daybreak around the world. Although some of the artists are new to web3, others are now well in the NFT community. About that purpose, some chose to feature traditional documentary images, while others preferred to explore the more varied narrative opportunities presented by the NFT format.
