Natasha Hamilton Shares Unseen Snaps from Her ’emotional’ Lake Como Wedding to Charles Gay

Posted on the 29 September 2021 by Maxiel

She tied the knot with her fiancé Charles Gay this week in a stunning ceremony in Lake Como, Italy.

And Natasha Hamilton has shared previously unseen snaps from her big day, with the Atomic Kitten singer, 39, gushing over her only daughter Ella, seven, who became 'emotional' during the wedding.

Taking to Instagram on Tuesday, Natasha shared a duo of snaps featuring her little girl - whom she shares with ex Ritchie Neville - alongside a sweet caption which begins: 'I have got you baby girl - always❤️.'

The images see Ella, who was a bridesmaid, standing alongside big brother Alfie, 11, as she reached out a hand to her mother.

While another snap sees the little girl give the bride a warm hug while her new step-father Charles watches on with a huge smile on his face.

Captioning the snaps, Natasha explained how her girl couldn't stop crying on the day, as she gave a further insight into the emotional ceremony.

She penned: 'I have got you baby girl - always❤️.

'A mother/daughter bond is incredibly precious. Ella was so emotional on the wedding day, she said she was so happy but couldn't stop crying - all the guests had the biggest lumps in their throat just from seeing how much the day not only meant to us, but to her as well.

'We both wear our hearts on our sleeve and she couldn't hold back the tears - it was hard not to cry watching her.

'At the end of the ceremony Ella walked back up the isle with us hand in hand - the start of married life holding her tight, reminding her she is never alone, EVER.'

The previous day, Natasha also shared a snap of all four of her children as they posed with her and her new husband Charles.

She captioned the heartwarming image: 'My whole world❤️.'

Meanwhile, the Whole Again hitmaker gave a glimpse into her mini-moon with Charles, as they enjoyed a short trip to Venice.

The star shared some fun snaps of the couple enjoying a boat ride in the Italian city, with Natasha looking radiant in a floral print white top and over-sized black sunglasses.

Natasha announced the news of her nuptials with a sweet snap alongside Charles as they sailed on a boat across the waters.

She captioned the post: 'Mr & Mrs Gay, 25.09.2021 - Until the end ❤️'

The pair have been together for five years and looked thrilled in the selfie - with Charles in a black suit and slate tie while Natasha wore a plunging floral-embellished dress with a flowing detailed train and a sweeping veil.

Natasha shared a snap in front of the lake the day before, with two of her four children.

She captioned this: 'On top of the world with my babies at Sunset - such a magical place ❤️'

Meanwhile, her Atomic Kitten bandmates Liz McClarnon and Jenny Frost shared a snap with the bride, gushing over her nuptials.

Liz captioned her snap: 'How stunning does our @natashahamilton look?! We all had the most beautiful day yesterday! Thank you Mr & Mrs Gay ❤️ I can't believe we got to be a part of such a truly magical day!'

As Jenny added: 'The best day celebrating @natashahamilton & @charlesgay yesterday! It was magical from beginning to end. Tash you looked just breathtaking - another level beautiful. Love you girls!'

The nuptials marks Natasha's second marriage - she was wed to Riad Erraji from 2007-2013.

Natasha shares son Josh, 19, with celebrity bodyguard Fran Cosgrave, Harry, 16, with actor Gavin Hatcher, Alfie, 11, with Riad, and Ella, seven, with boyband star Ritchie Neville. She split from Ritchie in 2016.

Natasha began dating Charles in early 2016, shortly after she split from Ritchie. They announced their engagement in November that year.

In February 2018, the singer and Charles sparked split speculation when she deleted the businessman on her personal Facebook page as well as unfollowing him on all her public media profiles.

However, just two months later she confirmed they were back on with a snap of them in bed captioned: 'Love conquers all.'

In 2019 she insisted a fifth child with Charles won't be on the cards any time soon.

Speaking to MailOnline, in the midst of planning their wedding at the time, she said: 'We can't try to shoehorn a baby in - and the wedding - we're not in a rush.

'Do what we're doing, we're enjoying our lives together as a family.'

In May, she candidly spoke about how she suffered a 'full mental breakdown' after giving birth to her fourth child.

She revealed she ended up in psychiatric care shortly after welcoming her daughter Ella in 2014.

Natasha said she felt like she had 'lost the plot' following her divorce from her husband Riad and went through a series of 'mental ups and downs'.

Speaking on the Mindkite Podcast, she said: 'I was married for seven years, got divorced, lost the plot a little bit, went through some mental health ups and downs, and then I had my daughter in 2014.'

Natasha previously suffered post-natal depression following the birth of her son Josh in 2002, but admitted it was nothing compared to her subsequent experience.

She explained: 'When I had my little girl and I had a full breakdown and I was under the care of a mental health team, the care of a psychiatrist. It was then, I was just like, 'We can't keep doing this Tash. You need to sort your s*** out.'

Natasha, who joined Atomic Kitten in 1999 at age 16, explained it took her a while to adjust to life after the band when she quit six years later.

She said: 'I'd grown up in this intense bubble, totally wrapped in cotton wool for five years, then all of a sudden I'm out of that and they're all doing their thing over there and I'm literally on my own here, going, 'I don't know how to live a normal life. My whole life was scheduled, and all of a sudden I'm like, "What do I do?"'

After quitting the band, Natasha moved up north to live with her then-husband Riad.

However the singer admitted they struggled to come to terms with the fact that she was the main breadwinner in their relationship.

She said: 'I was the breadwinner when it came to being in a relationship with a guy. I'd be the one taking us out and buying stuff and doing things, which obviously for a young guy as well, that's going to do your head in.'

Since then, Atomic Kitten have reunited on several occasions and Natasha appeared on Celebrity Big Brother in 2015.

In 2019 Natasha enrolled in beauty college as she took a different career path following her time in the spotlight.

'I went to beauty school one day a week. I'd get my tunic on. I was studying for exams and all of a sudden it was like, ah, this is who Natasha Hamilton is. I'm not just Natasha from Atomic Kitten, I'm a woman who wants other things.'

Also reflecting on how her mindset has changed, Natasha said: 'I genuinely loved a bit of a pity party when I look back. It was like, "Oh why is this happening to me? This is so bad!"

'I've had to give myself a little slap and go, "Hang on a minute, get some balls, own your shit, get on with it!"'

Several years ago, she hit back at trolls who branded her '4X4' - someone who shares four children with four different men.

'I do get people saying nasty things because my children have different dads,' Natasha told The Mirror. 'But I feel I would have been a worse mum staying in relationships that were detrimental to me and my children's happiness.

'Sometimes you have to walk away. I stand by all my decisions and feel I made the right ones.

'They can hear negative things and sometimes other children can be cruel. I say to them, "Don't take it in, people will say nasty things because they want to hurt you but it's just words".

'They know what's happened in my life. I don't keep secrets from them and I think now Josh and Harry are a little older, they're starting to understand some of the tough positions I've ended up in.'

'I feel I've lived a million lives. Is it what I wanted out of my life? No, of course not. But I have my lovely sons and now a daughter and you just have to stop dragging the baggage of the past around with you and move on.'
