A pilot taxies his warbird after landing at San Carlos Airport. Designed and built in China, and first flown in 1958, more than 2,000 were built for use by the People’s Liberation Army Air Force (PLAAF) as a basic trainer. They are still in military service with the People’s Republic of China and nine other nations. Relatively inexpensive to operate and built sturdily, these aircraft are popular as an affordable warbird in the U.S. and many other countries. Nikon D7100 w/80-400mm.
